thanks for all of the suggestions.
that lamb stew sounds delish buckytom! very fragrant with the orange zest.
maybe i'll make some kind of a stew, that sounds good with the cornbread, its making my mouth water.
I want to try out a different cornbread recipe and I need something to make with it besides chili. I know that traditionally these two are paired together but I want to make something else. Any ideas?
I am so glad that I can relate to some other chocoholics like myself.
In cleveland, there is an excellent chocolate place called Faroh's Candies. They have some of the best chocolate I have ever tasted. But since I don't live close enough occasionally Malley's chocolates will do the trick...
What exactly is peffernese and springerle? I've never heard of them.
Hmmm but the toffee sounds good and so does the pralines. Do you give candy as gifts during the holidays?
Is anyone else getting excited for the holiday baking this year? I am just trying to decide which cookies to bake when I go home for break.
So far some of my traditional favorites are:
-Russian Tea Cakes
-Chocolate Chip (nothing tops this!)
-Pistacio Party Cookies
-Chocolate Covered Cherry...

Thanks for all the contributions. I love all the combinations of cheeses. I can't wait to start experimenting. Mac and CHeese is such an easy staple especially in college.
I even saw Paula Deen (foodtv) make hers with sour cream, how interesting!
I know that everyone has their favorite macaroni and cheese recipe and I want to know it!
What is your special secret ingredient?
Is yours baked or stove cooked?
What combination of cheeses do you use?
Do you add anything extra to boost flavor and make it more filling? Like meat? Or...
I love Mexican food. I used to live in an area where there was a huge latino community and we had some of the best mexican restaurants in the area.
I also wanted to say that sushi is highly overrated. I do not understand what all the craze is about, mostly health reasons?
