I found a very basic recipe for apple crisp and it states to use apples (well duh!). What is the best apple or combination of apples to use for apple crisp? I want a good flavor!

I like to make tenders out of chicken breast. I typically season and bread them, but I battered them and fried them last time. Im going to try beer battered tenders at some point in the next few days...

will dumplings cook right in cream of chicken soup?

I have pork chops fresh from the butcher, but Im not sure what to do with them. I have an electric skillet with no stove or oven. nor do i have seasonings... if i sear the chops then cook them in the skillet with cream of chicken soup will they taste ok? also is it possible to make dumplings...
