Sub for Mayo in a sandwich dressing

mmm...cranberry sauce, mashed avocado, or jam (I know it sounds weird with meat ,but a bit of fruit jam can compliment!)

    ISO Thanksgiving suggestions

I only have one small oven, so put my bird on the BBQ. It frees up my oven for casseroles, bread, pies, etc. My SIL always said she would never eat a BBQ turkey, too dry, but she didn't know the difference when I fed her one!

Which food is the king of breakfast?

I like Breakfast, just not for breakfast. My daily favorite is coffee and leftover rice. Since I don't have that on hand at all times, I usually get greek yougurt and a banana.

College Dorm Skillet + Other Cookware

Sounds luxurious...my college days were mostly grilled cheese and ramen...both made in the same old beat up 12" skillet in the shared kitchen...

    Favorite Hot Dog Cooking Technique

These are my top 3 methods as well. I am a bit weird in dressing it though, I like Mayo, spicy relish( like Zucchini) and diced tomatos on a bun, oooh, and shredded cheese! Sidenote, when we were in panama, street vendors sell "meat on a stick" or "monkey meat." It is a hotdog on a kebab...

    SOS! Seriously...

Sh*t on Shingle...that's the only thing I know it by:ohmy:! Anyone know how to make this? This is a great childhood memory dish for me, I think it was sliced beef (or some type of super tender meat!?!?) in a whitish sauce...dear old gran served it over good old white bread, it was sort of...

Anyone have the "itch" yet? (merged)

My basil is the first thing to go every year, it is soooo sensitive to cold. However, I have had snow on the ground for months, it melted about a week ago, and there is heaps of healthy, yummy parsley under there! Weird!

    A Puppy's Prayer

We had to make the big dicision for our Golden about a month ago, the hardest thing we've ever had to do! I have been toying with the idea of a puppy, this is a nice reminder of why I am just not ready! ;)

    Travel Junkies (and dreamers!) Unite!

Cooper' Mom, I love Australia! I last went in Sept/Oct. I took my husband for the first time, and another first...my father! (a great story in itself, traveling with you pops and your man...AAAAH!) We went for a dear friend's wedding in Toowoomba, and she married a Melbourne man, I met lots...

    Travel Junkies (and dreamers!) Unite!

WOW! That is a lot of info, I can't imagin how much more your "catching up" involves! I've done a group trip once, mostly travel alone now (preferable) or with my partner. I think solo travel and couple travel both pose interesting barriers...I find people aviod couple more when traveling...

I have thrown plastic bags over plants when that cold snap comes around, the heat of the plant keeps it cozy in there.

    Two Cooks in the Kitchen

Hmmm...my kitchen is mine, if he wants to eat he keeps his yapper shut, and if he wants to get stabbed he traspasses during meal prep...but he can make a mean grilled cheese when the occasion strikes!

    Most classic cocktails

oooh...I think of the old OLD women from my fam and come up with a pink lady, a mint julip, and a wiskey sour.

    How sharp is "sharp"?

Also, a clean tomato or pepper slices easier, get that wax off!
