My daughter & I made strawberry jam in June. We used Nigella Lawson's recipe that doesn't use pectin. We quadrupled the recipe and it took forever to cook down and jel. It developed foamy stuff on the top and instead of skimming it off we stirred it in. It looks yucky with white patches...
