    I was wondering if anyone out there knows if you can clean, boil, and preserve a blue crab shell? I want to have them to service stuffed crab in.

    Refrigerating Butter

    I use only real butter for everything. I've heard that I can leave sticks in a butter dish or crock on the counter top and do not have to put in the frig. Some say being salted or unsalted has something to do with it also. What do you think?

    Green tomatoes

    Hi All! Well my garden is playing out. Too dang hot. We went ahead and picked all the green tomatoes. I use to have a recipe for pickling them but can't find it. Anyone have a good recipe for pickled green tomatoes??:chef:

    Water Bath Canning

    Has anyone used an electric roaster oven to do the water bath for canning? I've used it before and set the temp to the 400 mark with the lid on and it comes to a boil and there is a rack that you can put in it to remove jars. Seems it worked okay, all the jars got a good seal on them.
