    I am looking for a recipe for a cookie that contains oatmeal and is covered in chocolate. I think they are called rocks? Also I would like to dip chocolate chip cookies in melted peanut butter. Does anyone know of liquid peanut butter? I've tried melting it but is too thick and heavy.Thanks

    Here's a Red Eye Gravy recipe straight from North Carolina. Fry country ham in a skillet. Remove the ham and pour strong black coffee into the drippings. Simmer for a few minutes. Country ham is the choice here in the south because it's salty.

    I like my oatmeal with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Cinnamon i.c. is also good.

    Food you wouldn't put in your mouth.

    Chitterlings are the only food I tried and will not eat again. They weren't horrible tasting it was the smell while they were being prepared.

    Here in the south a staple in the fall are Chitterlings cause you have to cook them outside because of the smell. Pinto beans and cornbread, BBQ, Greens, and of course grits.

    My mom makes the best oyster dressing I've ever had. I tried to make it from her recipe but it's never the same. She says it's all in the love that goes into it. Personally I think she left something out , on purpose.

    I saw a kitchen in the home section of our paper that had 2 of everything. I thought it was dumb at first until both of us were in the kitchen trying to cook at the same time. I realized how great it would be to have that kitchen.

    Turkey serving - salmonella avoidance question

    If you are traveling with a Cooked Turkey make sure the bird is brought down to at least 40 degrees before you put it in the chest. Don't put a warm turkey in and expect it to cool down or stay hot at an acceptable temp. in your cooler. This is where the hazard lies. The temperature danger zone.

    General Road Trip Questions Answered Here

    For 5 yrs. I drove from NC to AZ every 6 mos for my job. I purchased a Manifold cook book 2 men wrote it's terrific. I have tried it and it works great. Actually I stopped and ate the local fair in every state. But I did make Shrimp Scampi on the manifold. Very much fun.

    Charlotte Shout started this week. It's an incredible outdoor food event with demos from tops chef's around the world and locally. You can purchase an array of foods at a minimal price. I can't wait till tonite. The creations are amazing.
