    Thanks SicklyScott! Five onions sounds like a bit much, do you usually add all five when you make this? The chocolate shavings as a topping sounds good!

    Labor Day - Whatcha' All Cooking?

    How Do You Cook Your Baked Potatoes?

    Scrub, rub with olive oil, wrap in foil, stab 'em to death, and cook in oven. and for a potato topper... Mix together 2 containers sour cream, 2 cups shredded cheddar, 3 oz pkg of bacon bits, and 1 bunch of green onions chopped. yum, yum yum

    Ham or meatloaf?

    I've never done meatloaf in the crock pot but I have done a bone-in ham. I usually add about a cup of brown sugar to the bottom of the pot, put the ham on top, and put an extra cup of brown sugar on top. I let it cook for about 8 hours and its way yummy. Meatloaf...I will have to try...

    Home Fries

    I make mine very similar to Mikey. I usually keep a lid on the potatoes for the first 10 minutes, then take it off for the last 20 (or so) minutes. I've never made them with precooked potatoes, but HELLO that makes perfect sense, I'll have to try.

    There are a few islands, could it have been Vashon? There are suppose to be good restaurants out on Vashon Island, I've never been out there though. I hope the weather was good for your son while he was visiting!
