How do I use gel chafing fuel on a fondue set.

You could also use a sparker over the gel if you're wary of burning yourself, but a match will do fine.

I want to retry liver, need suggestions

This may sound like a stupid question, but what kind of flavor and texture does a chicken liver have? Not when put into a pate, but sauteed or something...I'm really curious!

I'm considering picking up an ice cream maker, but I was wondering a couple things: 1) What's the best model? What I'd really like is a self-contained unit I could make ice cream whenever I want in, but realistically speaking I should get a freezer bowl type, unless there are affordable...

What's a good substitute for Bacon?

I was going to suggest prosciutto as a replacement for bacon, too--not because it'd solve the pork problem, but because when cooked like bacon it tastes EVEN BETTER. And I'll agree with all the recommendations of turkey bacon--it ain't at all bad.

How many calories do you eat?

Ideally I'd like to eat between 1800 and 2000 calories per day, but it's so hard to keep track of the numbers when you hurriedly eat a snack or cook yourself something from scratch. Not everything comes with labels! And yeah, booze does not count as calories. And since I like fruity cocktails...
