    Weird things I have eaten

I am one of those people that will try just about anything once. Probably the weirdest thing I have had are fried bees.

    Tortillas just like in Mexico?

I've never tried making my own before but where I live you don't have to travel far to find a place that makes them fresh daily. If you buy flour tortillas and heat them up at home it is best to heat them on a comal. It's basically a flat cast iron skillet and heats up the tortillas evenly.

    Stuffing/Dressing Poll

We call it dressing and use cornbread along with a bunch of other stuff thrown in. Last year we mixed oyster in the dressing and it turned out really good.

    Cultural Differences

I'm Chinese-American and remember getting in trouble every time I forgot to take my shoes off when I came home from school. Mom has a shoe radar and knows you are wearing them in the house even when she was upstairs in her sewing room.

    What's for breakfast?

I usually eat some calamari salad for breakfast. I know that is a very unusual breakfast but I love it so much. If I do not have that then an omelet loaded with peppers will work.

    How to use Hoisin sauce

I use it as a glaze, mix it in stir fry but mostly what I do is mix it with soy sauce and sriracha chili sauce. It makes for a good egg roll dip. :)
