    To help those who are relatively new to this site, it would seem like a sentence or two at the top of the forum page describing the forum, might be helpful in capturing the intended use of the forum. I realize this might be "nit picking" because it's not like it's all that difficult to figure...

    B'sgirl, you may want to go ahead and put them out and at the same time plant a few more seeds for backup plants in case the ones you set out don't make it. (The do look a bit "hungry" for sunshine...)

    Economizing

    Regarding the discussion on generic vs brand name products.. Years ago when our kids were living at home I would get in big discussion with them on the taste of brand name vs generic. They maintained that the brand names tasted better. While I did agree that this was the case for SOME products...

    Runny marmalade

    Marmalade Set Problem I too have had a problem with marmalade set. (I use home grown satsumas instead of the seville..) This year I did BOTH (squeeze goo AND use pectin) and the marmalade came out perfect. Using the pectin by itself did not work for me in years past.

    Growing Vidalia Onions in Pots...Feasible?

    Vidalia Onions Vidalia onions are Granex 33 onions but when planted in Vidalia, GA become Vidalia onions. I planted Granex 33 last fall. Looks like they will be ready to harvest in a few weeks.

    Tomatillos

    I grew tomatillos for the 1st time in 2005. They seem to prefer the warmer weather. My wife is not a fan of green salsa. But, I'll probably try them again this year nonetheless.
