    Need Help/Suggestions

Can I just tell them I'm contagious and join Kadesma and her family???? that's right up my alley, but the MIL doesn't eat olives or many of the things you mentioned. My DH has indicated a strong desire for Chili, so...... Thanks to you all.......

    Need Help/Suggestions

Yes, I guess that was a little vague. MIL no fish, greens, and the only veggies she likes are corn and broccoli (which she usually cooks until it turns grey -- yuck -- mine is "too crunchy" for her). SIL doesn't really like beef but loves most veggies. I'm grateful that my FIL (like my hubby...

Christmas Day night my husband's family will be coming over to celebrate. We will be with my family all day at another location so cooking before they arrive will be difficult. I'd like to prepare whatever we will eat on Christmas Eve and just have to heat it up when we get back from my...

A friend is getting married on Jan 3. It's a very small wedding (only 50 people) and she wants to do a cupcake tree instead of a cake. She wants to bake these herself and I've volunteered to help. Much of the pre-wedding stuff is completely done but we're not sure how far before the wedding we...

    ISO Chocolate cookie Crumbs

I have several recipes that call for "chocolate cookie crumbs" or chocolate wafers. I have searched my local grocery and the only things I find are: Oreos, Chocolate Graham Crakers and Nabisco's 100 calorie packs of chocolate wafer thins. The crumbs called for in my recipes are for bar cookie...

    Jambalaya - HELP!!

our office is celebrating Diversity Week and the staff will be doing a pot luck luncheon on Wednesday. Pavlova....has anyone made this?? I've tried it twice

When looking at your recipe, I find that mine does not include the cream of tartar and cornflour (which I presume is known as cornstarch here in the US). Also, my recipe calls for you to heat the oven to 400 and put the pav in and turn it off and don't open/remove for at least 4 hours. I think...

Can I make the Cornbread batter early and bake it later?

Does anyone out there know. We are having Chili and cornbread for dinner tonite and I'd like to get all the prep stuff out of the way now. If I make the cornbread batter now, can I bake it this evening when we come home from church and are ready to eat??
