    Using powdered egg yolks

    You should be able to added it dry with your other dry items. I have baked with powdered whole eggs before and they were added dry. You just need to modify the liquid you add.

    Since the wheat berry has been cracked it has released its oil. Oil is where the problem is as it tends to go rancid with time and heat.

    No way! When I was a young Marine I went home with a buddy, his grandmother was from Mexico, she was cooking, not sure if she was roasting or what, some type of hot peper. I didnt last a minute in the kitchen. I literally felt like Id been gased.

    "Soft" butter?

    I like to use spanish olive oil when I do this. Additionally depending on what I am cook I will lace it with herbs. Adds a little suprise to butter bread. Becareful with the herbs some can be a bit over powering. All I can say is experiment.

    Its a bit sticky today 101 degrees in Virginia. Its only the 9th of June so Im guessing August is going to be a real treat!

    How much are you paying for gas where you live?

    We are going to be there real soon. The biggest problem I see is in the US our entire URBAN/Suburban master plan formulated after world war ii is predicated on cheap oil. Well oil isnt cheap anymore. We need a major overhaul in thinking now.

    I have been reading this site for awhile and it has great info. When I was young I remember gardening with my grandfather. Every year when the zucchini plants (I think they were zucchini) would flower we would go out and pick the male (I believe that is what he said) only flowers batter them...
