    Oven in a grill?

I checked out the Charmglow oven in a grill at HD and thought it very small. It really doesn't make a lot of sence unless you want to bake. Brownies are allways tasty and who wants to heat up the house during the summer? Now I'm wondering if I could bake a cake on the grill.

    Infrared cooking advice

to answer your question The infrared part of the grill never got covered in anything because the intense heat on the glass turns everything near it to dust. That's one of the advantages of the grill style, it's self cleaning. I just wiped the glass off with a rag before use. How the new grill...

    Infrared cooking advice

Retutned the Tec to Lowes After hearing all the bad new I went back to Lowes to ask the manager what the return policy was on grills. To my chagrin all of the Tecs that had been there just weeks before were gone. It seems that Lowes is no longer selling them. That was it for me so I returned...

    Jerky?

I would be cautious when it came to pork or fowl jerky. I'm afraid of getting sick from either of those two types of meat should they be undercooked since jerky is basically dried meat. Am I just being paranoid.

    Jerky?

I make jerky all the time and my favorite cut is London Broil. you want something lean or you get pockets of fatty gristle in your chew. First I trim away all the fat I can find then I cut it thick and marinate it in a mixture of Buffaloe brand chipote sauce and a small amount of soy sauce to...

New grill I bought - need help

I can tell you that I had a problem with the ignighter almost right away then the hose and regulator on my Brinkman. I replaced it and bypassed the side burner and the thing started working again. I bought a Tec last month and really like it so far. Three times the $$ though.

New grill I bought - need help

OOP! my bad. I'm a newbie here and I'm still trying to figure out how this all works. My old Brinkman now sulks unused and uncovered waiting for the next yard sale. It's a tankless affair now that I've taken up with my gleaming, stainless mistriss. The lord knows I've tried to make it work but...

New grill I bought - need help

I had a Brinkman that cost about the same and I had problems getting it to heat. I eventually replaced the hose/regulator, bypassing the side burner and it worked just fine after that. For the money it's not a bad grill but I've heard they can be hard to get parts for.

    Infrared cooking advice

I just bought a Tec from Lowes and it has both a standard and a infrared grill. I've been told to leave the grill open when using the infrared and closed when using the other. Is it better to just start the meat on the searing burner and then transfer it or to just leave it there? I'm loving the...
