    PECAN PIE

Another to die for variation is to use half shredded coconut and half pecans. In fact, the recipe I use can also be used to make coconut pie..subsituting same amount of coconut for the pecans. Gosh, maybe the chocolate, khaula, and coconut added to the pecans! What a thought! Yum!

    Buffaloed By Buffalo

My daughter's neighbors, across the road, have several buffalo in their HUGE pasture....I enjoyed sitting on the front porch, and just watching them..especially during our snow storms this past winter.......the stark whiteness and wilderness look of that field and pond, with those dark...

    Buffaloed By Buffalo

 I really just don't understand the "buffalo-elk-deer-bear" meat fascination at all! Or the shooting of animals for that matter! ( Politicians, lawyers, certain ex-husbands...that makes sense! ) I've tasted buffalo, elk, deer, and it all tastes like bad beef...and I'm NOT a big beef fan...

    Carrot loaf help

I think carrot does add flavor...try making a carrot cake without it! It's a subtle flavor, yes, but not all flavorings need to be strong and overpowering!

    What, really, is health food?

:D Fear of the unknown is something I've NEVER been accused of! LOL! Actually, SOY SAUCE is one of my favorite condiments/spices/marinades. And soy can be used in SO many ways....that are good. BUT, soy itself, while nutrious, is : bland, boring and tasteless. Hummmm, reminds me of an ex-husband!

    What, really, is health food?

I agree with you oldcoot! Fermented hops, grains, and grapes, taken in moderation, can be beneficial to your health! :) And if God had meant me to eat soy, he would have made it taste good!
