I inherited my father's Brinkman Vertical smoker (from about 1978) b/c he purchased a big green egg. As you can imagine it is not in immaculate condition, some rust on the barrel itself and the bottom needs to be replaced, which has already been done. I found a deal on ebay for about 5 bucks...

I have about 2-3 lbs of chicken, 32 oz of salsa and 16 oz of water that i JUST put in the crockpot. At this point i like to add fresh ingredients ( corn, black beans, cilantro onions ect....) and just get creative with it and have fun. Any suggestions for things to add?.......please...
