    Substituting cast iron skillet for pizza stone?

    I have never used a pizza stone, or a cast iron skillet for pizza- what is the purpose? I normally just prebake my home-made crust for 7 minutes on a normal pizza pan, then top with ingredients, then bake for 15 or so minutes and its perfect. I do have a nice 10 or 12? inch skillet here....

    Ok I have heard of Kirsch before, but havnt used it- is it just to keep the cake moist? I dont think I can buy any in this area- Is using your "cheating" method just as good??? :)

    I hate vegetables!!!

    Sometimes when I am making mashed potatoes, I will add carrots, or turnips into it- and mash it all up so its all together. :) Then add some green onions! Yum :) Or just boil up some carrots and Turnips together, mash them up, add a bit of butter and brown sugar(and some ginger too if you like)

    Instead of using bags of ice, try Ice packs. Make sure they have been frozen solid for a few nights. They work great for camping! They last alot longer than bagged ice- and you can reuse them! :) I have taken eggs on camping trips, for over a week at a time. Keep the container that the...

    Regular yogurt, (plain), mixed with Apple butter. (homemade is best, if you can). Its really good, and you wont even know its yogurt! :)
