    Another post involving cutting boards

A board that I really like (and is cheap) is the Chicago Cutlery Large Wood Carving Board. They are on sale right now at Sears.com for $19.99. As a plus, when compared to most boards I've seen, this one has a little trough routed out around the perimeter to catch liquids before they spill off...

Cooked pork left out overnight - OK to eat?

So, you're saying that the same amount of heat that killed the bacteria with the raw meat won't kill bacteria with the cooked meat if cooked again? Interesting.

    Roasted seasoned potatoes

Sounds real good. I may do that myself. Well, something similar. I'd have to leave out the Italian seasoning. Don't like that stuff, but I could use something else in it's place.

Deep Fried Bacon Crusted Donut Holes Recipe

I have to go with taxlady on this. I love bacon, but not mixed together with sweet stuff. Kinda like putting coffee on my cereal. Like 'em both, but....

    trivia 12/23

Well, I guess I can't feel too badly. I correctly guessed #'s 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6. I couldn't remember what tsunami meant, but I knew it wasn't "mountain and water". Knowing some of these answers shows a persons age. If I were to ask the same questions to my kids, they wouldn't even know what...

The Most Iconic Movie Line Ever?

Smell that? You smell that? Lance: What? Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that. [kneels] Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

Cooked pork left out overnight - OK to eat?

Well, if it was me, I would just wrap it up good in foil and reheat it in the oven until the internal temp back up to about 170° for a while and go ahead and eat it. If doing this dried it out some, then I'd just make some gravy to pour over the slices and serve. I wouldn't waste it. Cooking it...

Hi You All, from Shaver Creek, Arkansas

Nothing to it. I just go out to the garden and pick however much I want to eat. Never over about 3" long. Longer than that and they start to getting tough. Then I take them into the kitchen and give them a quick rinse. While I am cutting them up I have my skillet with about a cup or so of oil...

Hi You All, from Shaver Creek, Arkansas

Sounds about right. 15 to 20 pounds. It's just that I have never been able to get that close to one. About 100 yards minimum around here. Maybe they are just a little more spooky here. I have taken them with a .22 LR before, but a head shot at 100+ yards for me is iffy. I just use the magnum and...

Clean enough to eat off of?

Whether or not to clean off a dropped food item is seldom an issue in my kitchen. I have 3 miniature pinschers who closely shadow my heels every time I am involved in any type of food handling. They are well aware of my poor eye-hand co-ordination and take every opportunity make it work in their...

Hi You All, from Shaver Creek, Arkansas

Thank you all for the wonderful welcome. What a nice bunch of folks. Ok, what is it you're after? Out with it.... Nah...just tuggin' your pea vine. I wish I could provide you with a good hillbilly recipe, but the fact is, real hillbilly cooking is just the very basic foods on a vagrants...
