I'm baking some vanilla cookies tonight for my daughter and her preschool friend to decorate tomorrow. Crabs and teapots! Random shapes, but i want to use my new cutters!
Will you be doing much with the decorating? Personally, i like using plain cupcake liners in brown/black or white so that it doesn't detract from the decoration
I think the rainbow cake sounds good. If you look at the I Am Baker blog, she has a tutorial on decorating a cake with rose swirls which looks really effective and is simple.
What about a 'guess the crazy ingredient?' and you could have zucchini cupcakes, choc chilli ones, rosewater etc?
Sounds like a fun idea! You could organise the prizes in catergories, ie best tasting, best looking, most unique etc
I suggest you buy a slow cooker. You just spend 10 mins in the morning getting things ready and then at the end of the day a few more mins making the rice
I think that generally the more you beat the butter and sugar together, the more likely they are to spread. I would just mix the butter and sugar until combined and not creamed.
This happened to me as well - and the smell is revolting!! We just gave it a huge spray using toilet spray and then placed a few of those hanging smelly things and it eventually went away. Another suggestion could be some lemons.
Hi everyone
Just wanted to say G'Day
I'm Bronnie and from Australia. I love cooking... Baking in particular and am trying to work out more ways to get my 3 little girls involved in helping me in the kitchen!
Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning from you!
