    Sticky Toffee I think you might be referring to sticky toffee pudding. Another great and easy traditional pub dish is bangers and mash. Simply sausages, mashed potatoes and usually served with peas.

    I did some research about this a while ago for my cookbook because I used to think that getting a paver or other unglazed tile was a good idea. It turns out, since they are not made for food, that they can possess all kinds of stuff you do not want to ingest. I can't find much of that info right...

    Will I be happy with a KitchenAid mixer?

    Couldn't bake without it: pizza, bread, etc. 10 years and still going strong. This is the only appliance in our kitchen that plugs in that we use often.

    Presumably you have gotten through your buttermilk by now, but the next time Kroger over-packages it's dairy products don't forget about buttermilk chocolate cake. It's our kids' favorite.

    Potato soup. You can make it with either vegetable or chicken broth. Add whatever veg they will eat. Start with onion, garlic and bacon (if they eat that). I have made it for vegetarians without and it's still great. The best thing about potato soup is that it is warm, hearty and easy to eat...
