    A hello and a question.

Hello MammaCat! I haven't decided on my next experiment yet. I'll probably just go to the grocery store and pick out some kind of meat.... :)

Pretty good, that is. I have no idea whether or not god is pretty.

    A hello and a question.

Yes, I already cooked them. It actually turned out pretty god, better than my first, oniony experiment. I put in a bunch of breaded uncooked boneless chicken breasts, a chopped up potato, 4 boneless pork chop things, a can of corn, and a can of chicken broth I found in my cabinet. No onions!

I have a stove and a microwave, too. I gave away my toaster oven. I'm kind of enjoying just experimenting with the crock pot, though. I'll pretty much eat anything anyways.

    A hello and a question.

Well, I'm kinda stuck with boneless chicken breasts this time. They've been in my freezer for a couple months and the frost has reached arctic tundra status. Since I have to defrost, the chicken must be crocked. Any suggestions on keeping it moist? What if I throw a couple cans of chicken noodle...

    A hello and a question.

It turned out pretty good. I think the onion was too big, though. It's a little onion-heavy, flavor-wise. =(

    A hello and a question.

Nope. I met Cat on a political website. She has amazing common sense, intellect, and humility. Very refreshing around those parts! I've got about 3 hours to go, just enough time to head to the corner bar and catch the football game. It smells great so far, though!

    A hello and a question.

My inherited crock pot has an 8 hour low temp timer built in. I'm using that setting. US pacific time zone, btw.

    A hello and a question.

Thank you! I actually started it about an hour ago, added about a cup of water (I wanted to dissolve a beef bullion cube in something), and partially cooked half the bacon and threw it in. Potatoes/carrots went on the bottom (soggy is fine with me), onions around the meat, some pepper and garlic...

Deglaze? Is that like "scrape" in layman's terms? How much water should I add? Thanks!

    A hello and a question.

Hello Discusscooking! I was invited here by the lovely and gracious CatPat. I'm not much of a cooker, single guy, no wives or kids, so try not to laugh at me too much. Here's my question: I have recently inherited a crock pot. After looking at it for a couple months, I've decided to try making a...
