    Pasta/Slow Cooker?

    I am wanting to know if I can cook pasta in a slow cooker. It's hot out and we do not have air conditioning so I am really trying to find was to cook with out my gas stove. I am wanting to make pasta salad for a picnic, so was wondering if I could use a slow cooker instead of my stove to cook...
