    Changes at McDonalds

The most convenient is ordering McDonald's on UberEats. I order and about 25 minutes later someone shows up with my cheeseburger! There's a delivery fee, but if you factor in time, gas, and effort, it's worth every cent! Usually my dad and I will order it for lunch a couple times a month.

What’s on the menu Sunday 7/1/2018?

Today is Canada Day here, so we're having peameal bacon on a bun for dinner, and the quintessential Canadian dessert - butter tarts!

What's on the menu Wednesday 6/27/2018?

We had some fresh Washington Bing cherries and no meat taken out, so I made with Dad French Toast with a Brandy Cherry Sauce! It was pretty delish if I do say so myself!

When I puree, I puree everything separately so I don't just get a muddled mess of flavours, rather each on their own. It's a bit more time to prepare, but it's worth it!

Thanks Joel. It's a WordPress site. Not everyone that requires pureed food has trouble swallowing, rather it could be dental surgery, Parkinsons, cancer, or just getting old... either way, it's absolutely no excuse not to eat good food! Check your PM's JustJoel ;)

    Canning Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice

There's absolutely nothing better than waking up and having fresh squeezed orange juice with breakfast! It's one of life's simple little pleasures! With our trip coming up for 2 weeks I thought it'd be great to can the juice here and take it with us in 500ml jars. I googled it and found it's...

What’s on the menu Monday 6/25/2018?

Tonight we are doing grilled pork chops with a garlic-lime-orange-cayenne marinade. I'm thinking perhaps a spinach salad with fresh Ontario strawberries, pan fried goat cheese medallions, chopped pecans, with either a light balsamic dressing or poppy seed dressing. We had a very rainy 3 days...

Canning Homemade Tomato Soup (no cream)

The directions for the recipe are as follows: Would there be an alternative to olive oil that we could use? On the tomatoes to roast them is no big deal to omit entirely. What about for the onions to saute? Would substituting water for the vegetable broth be a solution? And use dried basil...

Canning Homemade Tomato Soup (no cream)

But I don't need to use a pressure canner? It's soup, not just simply canned tomatoes. Does that make a difference?

Hi everyone I'm new to this forum, but not new to my love of food! I'm a 30 year old guy who's physically disabled with Congenital Muscular Dystrophy, however that doesn't stop me from getting in the kitchen and being creative! My parents say I'm good at directing traffic... In 2014 I had a...

Canning Homemade Tomato Soup (no cream)

Good afternoon everyone! First time poster and newbie canner! My mom and I made strawberry jam yesterday and canned it for the very first time (we'd always made freezer jam before). I suffer from dysphagia (trouble swallowing) and we are going away for two weeks to Michigan and New York City...
