What are your guilty pleasures... Fess up

Deep fried food, like a good fish and chips, chicken wings or a chicken kiraage, I have little resistance but it's a lot or work and I only allow myself 2 or 3 times a year to make it and I rarely order deep fried when out, it's been years actually.

Did Ya'll know there are Self Driving Robot Trucks on the Road in the USA?

Who knows really but I'm skeptical. In a busy city there's a lot of nuance between drivers with eye contact and hand motions that can make a difference, especially at intersections, or, swerving to miss a small animal, a racoon for example then taking out 4 people at a bus stop.

Did Ya'll know there are Self Driving Robot Trucks on the Road in the USA?

It'll all come to an end when there's one too many people killed, which is inevitable. imo

    Rotisserie Chicken thoughts?

Well with the price of chicken a rotisserie chicken is cheap and convenient and it's a quality protein source. I probably pick up 6 or so a year locally from either Metro or Food Land.

    KFC Chizza Review....

KFC, a bible reference seems appropriate here "they know not what they do" or "too many chefs in the kitchen" means the same thing. Where's that guy that started that roadside restaurant in Kentucky when you need him.

Monday's late tax not done supper for the 29th of April, '24

Sure. it's a Japanese version of fried chicken. I use boneless skin on chicken thighs, which is traditional and you definitely want to retain the skin then cut into decent sized pieces, normally 6 per thigh, that kind of size. Then microplane some garlic and ginger added to the chicken along...

    Liver and onions anyone?

Yeah, offal consumption in NA isn't very popular but the British generally get credit for it's popularity in Canada and considering my roots on my mothers side go back to Welch and Scottish heritage it was popular in our house and I do love a well prepared liver and onions. Unfortunately my...

How far ahead can I prep these items??

That's not true. There needs to be existing bacteria and more specifically a lipopolysaccharides (LPS) for example, which is part of the gram-negative bacteria group before just processing makes them contain endotoxins. Personally I don't precut vegetables and even in the restaurant we don't...

Life Changes and how to adjust cooking habits...

What recipes are you referring to? I'll assume your not cooking 4 steaks for 3 people for example or making 4 sides to go with that steak. Most larger batch cooking can be reduced by percentage or frozen for later.

Best store bought macaroni and cheese

It's a pouch, drop in hot water. I suspect if starvation was inevitable a stove would be a valuable asset, and a pot of course. :brows:

I'll mix in a little rice flour when I want extra crispiness when deep frying.

Best store bought macaroni and cheese

Never tried any of those, maybe I should. I've always made from scratch and can't imagine any other way. I have tasted KD (kraft dinner) and it was pretty nasty and so thought they all tasted pretty much the same. there was a canned mac and cheese product back in the 70's that was pretty liquidy...
