We got an invitation for a "free gourmet meal" in exchange for a couple hours of our time listening to a pitch for products that supposedly would reduce our heating and cooling costs. It was at a very nice restaurant called Omar's Carriage House that we haven't been to in a while. It really is a converted carriage house - bales of hay were stored upstairs and thrown down to the horses through the opening in the downstairs dining room ceiling.
We both had the bistro steak with wine-mushroom demi sauce, mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. All it cost us was a glass of wine for me
