When I was a kid my Dad would buy from a local Polish Deli very thin sliced cold smoked pork tenderloin that we would eat raw. Does anyone know the Polish or German name ?

Thanks Bill, its not that but I put your suggestion into google and some American suppliers of German Charcuterie came up, I then found it, its called Lachsschinken.
I am on a nostalgia trip at present as my wife gave me the best present for my 60th birthday on tuesday, she had my Grandfathers cooks hand written cook book translated from over 100 years old German to English.
I cooked Tafelspitz followed by Kaiserschmarrn last night:)

Ps I now have to find a supplier of Lachsschinken in the UK.
