It's "Clear the Fridge" Day ........

Lefty Soup AKA Hamburger Soup.... Browned Ground Beef, Red Potatoes, Carrots, Corn, Green Beans, Lima Beans, Celery,Beef Broth...

I'm making hamburger hotdish. Didn't really need a recipe & used things I have on hand. Good for leftovers during the week.

Vichyssoise made with boniato instead of potato, with a horseradish kick. Scallops were made into tournedos wrapped with leeks, but they sunk before I got a picture. Leek ribbons for garnish.


Starter was a scallop crudo with lemon, lime, and orange juices/zest, with about half of an orange habanero chopped finely, with drops of annatto oil.

We had a late breakfast and late lunch. Dh may make himself a PB&J!

Made a deep dish chicken pot pie with a puff pastry top. First time ever using puff pastry on anything. Amazingly easy. Mixed greens salad with choice of botted dressing.

I had supper planned. The potatoes were already boiled and peeled. I came back upstairs to relax before continuing and then the pretty colours showed up. The pretty colours are a migraine aura, so we ordered out. DH had a veal tortellini dish with a rosé sauce. I had "Rigatoni Tartufo Pasta: Black truffle cream, pancetta, mushrooms, parmesan". It was quite nice and very filling. I managed to eat half of it, so I have leftovers.

I did a SV pork loin, roasted potatoes and corn.

I air fried a NY steak, thin sliced it and topped a romaine salad with it. Dressed with blu cheese and served with garlic sourdough bread.

Chocolate cake was dessert.

I made a pot of creamy chicken and wild rice soup, using two of the rotisserie seasoned chicken breasts that shared the oven with the ham on Saturday. Froze a quart and still have enough for another meal+.
