Worrying about all of the food I've canned the past month.

Our canning/freezing season is coming to an end. Collards and Kale are a ways off. My enjoyment now is seeing the fruits of our labor all summer. We have a pantry stocked and a freezer full. I look forward this winter to having those scrumptous meals. We have a lot of family/friends get togethers during the winter. Everyone likes our frozen and canned goods on the table.

Sit back and enjoy your work.

Honestly, I did worry a little when I opened that first can of stock to use, but felt confident enough that I had followed the directions correctly and would have no issue. After not dying from that can of stock, my worries are gone. My main concern is pulling out a can to find that it's spoiled and have to re-plan my dinner.

Don't worry about bears. They can't open jars. No opposable thumbs.

Worry instead about octopi. They can open jars. And they're much sneakier than bears.
