That all sounds too close for comfort. Glad you and your family and friends weren't hurt. ~ We moved to MA a little over a year before 9/11 happened. Even in that short of a time, I knew someone who was a friend of someone on one of the planes that went down. Tragic events make everywhere a small world these days. ~ Wrong foot? Eh, no problem. Water over the dam. ~ Keeping NZ in my thoughts.
I went shopping inside a store for the first time this past Monday. Of course I can't reach anything on a top shelf, but one good thing (among many) of the store where I shop for my groceries, is that the help is so helpful. And you won't find nicer employees anywhere else.
Little by little I am making progress in learning how to live with just one leg. Each day I try to do something new on my own. If I fall, I can seriously hurt myself. Today, if I had to live alone and do for myself, I think I could do it. My home has had to be completely rearranged so that I can reach what I need to.
What did you do that put you in a coma for such a long time?
