I am planning on canning banana peppers today. I am canning as I get a few. I don't want to can them in huge supplies since I am the only one to eat them. I also don't want them to go bad while I am waiting for the others to be ready. I really just need something with vinegar, possibly garlic...

    Fontina cheese?

What exactly is this and are there subs? I am not used to different cheeses or different names for cheeses. We grew up on the basics and then our little ol towns grocery stores (3 of them) don't carry too many, other then the basic, cheeses. So if I can't find this one, what is a good...

    What is a nonreactive pan?

Thank you so much! I thought they were ok but never had anything say that in a recipe or have really had to deal with it. Now I can cook and know I am ok.

    What is a nonreactive pan?

I am getting ready to make homemade tom soup and it says to use a nonreactive pan. I have never had a recipe call for that. Will a non stick or ss pan work ok?

    Entertaining help for newbies

I love buffet style parties (in fact I don't think I have ever been to one that wasn't). Thats why I love stuff that you don't really need a fork. That is nice. So people can just munch all night and pick.
