I taught myself how to cook since my late teen years, inspired by Jamie Oliver's "Naked Chef" show on Food Network initially. I used Le Cordon Bleu's "Cooking Techniques" book as a guide and Bible, and went from there. I have a BS, but despite not planning to cook for a living, I ended up cooking demonstrations of preparing fresh, often gourmet recipes at a premium grocery store chain, for a year and a half full time- and still do so as part of my job today. I learned to herb garden to compliment my cooking- I love it, and love to teach and learn about it.
