    Pound cakes

As to the Splenda question, I dont know. The sugar is an integral part of the structure of the cake, not just for the taste, so it would be more complicated than just correcting the sweetness factor. I have never thought of doing that, and dont know how it would be done. My solution to the...

    Pound cakes

Yes, I have a real good Idea as to how much it needs, but I dont think I should speculate on it publicly as it is not my recipe (not to mention, I could be wrong!).

    Beef Stew

Perhaps then, it is the browned flour flavor that I prefer, as it does not taste right to me if I skip that step. Adding flour later does indeed thicken it, but it never has the right flavor, in my estimation.

    Beef Stew

I sear my meat sans flour. If I want to thicken my stew I add a black roux. I always flour mine and then brown it. To me if I do not do that the gravy never has that deep rich flavor that I want. Browning the flour with the meat does more than thicken it .... it adds great depth of flavor.

Has anyone had a better classic brownie than ATK's recipe?

I will try it soon. I am kinda mildly allergic to Chocolate, so I have to plan ahead for it, and not do it too often.

ISO Recipe for Peanut Butter Fudge

My Mother and grandmother used to make that a lot, and it was quite nice. Unfortunately, I never knew the recipe. I honestly dont think they followed one. I guess they had done it so many times they just knew it.

I dont know if this is a worthwhile idea or not, but I have gotten several replacement things on Ebay. Often no one wants them but you, so they are only a dollar or so. Unfortunately, the shipping may be a lot more. It's Worth checking anyway. Let us know how it works out. I am happy with...
