yeah, i get this,too. i love cooking and i love growing things but i love the processes of each more. not to say i don't like cooking with things i grow and then eating them...i do like to eat...but, yes, the process is its own reward.
i am making pizza dough and was trying a new recipe. it called for
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon yeast.
1 1/4 cup warm water.
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
the dough does not seem to be rising. do you think it's the recipe or did i do something wrong? how can i fix it...
ok, so i have made it twice now and both times i cut the eggplant into circles leaving the skin on. i grilled each piece for a minute or two on each side in evoo with high heat and then i put my lasagna together. the second time i did bake the eggplant circles but i still used evoo. turned out...
that last comment was most helpful. i had no ides how to tell when the fish was done and that comment about the white liquid really gave it away for me...thanks!!!
so glad you decided to go fro it. gardening is my all time favorite new past time. i had my first one last year and i am just waiting for the last snow so i can start planting again. if i did it now they would all die or else i would!

i need a recipe. i know basically what to do but i don't know how to prepare the eggplant at all. i do know what goes into a yummy lasagna but i'll take any recipe! just please remember i have no idea how to work with the eggplant.
