I maybe certifiably crazy, but I have an idea!

Just me in the wintertime. It is kinda large; 120' across the front, 70' down the right side, and about 90 ' down the left. It was built in 1863, and rebuilt in 1911. I have an RV sitting on the property, and I have bedroom, bathroom inside, and a lotta area to do anything I want to. The...

I maybe certifiably crazy, but I have an idea!

Ok..I might have figured it out. I'll see if I can get some photos. One is my house; two are showing the mason putting the bricks on the form for the curved ceiling, and one showing the completed oven, after a few years use. I used pavers for the floor, and regular bricks for the inside ceiling...

I maybe certifiably crazy, but I have an idea!

Yeah...the cartels are a very real and dangerous thing. I've spent over 35 years of my young life living in Sinaloa and Durango, and have become allergic to AK47s and other rapid-fire toys. Also...I'm the only white guy in the village, and am easy to find, so I tend not to give the up-raised...

    ISO - The Best Knives

I've owned a lotta different knives over the years, but the knives that now become my favorites, are the cheap KAI PureKomachi 2 knives, that you can buy for about 9 to 20 bucks, off Ebay. Color coded, with very thin blades, that will sharpen so you can shave with them. I sharpen with a 3...

Check out this nifty pizza oven

Hello, Everyone...I just registered, and found your disscussion on Wood Fired cooking, so I had to butt in. I have an outdoor kitchen at my winter home in Sinaloa Mexico, and added a wood fired pizza oven, that I cook almost everything in; one of the smartest things I have ever done. I tried to...

OK, So I Tried Meat Down on Some Ribs...

I am interested in this thread... I think I am, anyway...but everytime I start to read, I see the picture of Nick's blond running out of the corner of my eye, and I seem to get all confused, and break out in a cold sweat, and forget what I'm doing here.. You'd think, that after hanging around...

    Got Lava Rocks?

Good morning, Guys...I've searched the forums, and can't find info on lava rocks. I've gotta a gas barbecue, (I know..but when the Wife wants steak, she doesn't want to hear the word "marinate" or "charcoal". She wants to eatnow!) and I'd like to hear from the experts, on just how thick a layer...
