    Who Likes Beer?

Anyone like any of the 3 Floyds brands? They're local... so I should like them, but I have yet to try one that really gets me. Goose Island on the other hand. Yummers.

    Who Likes Beer?

If you like Bud Light and want to "graduate" into the wide world of beer, start trying some wheat beers like Julius Echter, Franziskaner Weiss, or Hoegarrden. They have a bigger flavor, but not as abrupt as the darker range.

Bite??? - Not For People With Foot Phobias

I'd say a bruise of that size, especially if swollen, would be a bit tender to the touch. Does it itch at all?

    Aspiring grillsman with some questions.

Second question With the proper use of those vents and the "coal cages" that come with the grill, allowing me to separate the coals to each side of the grill, can I effectively turn the grill into a smoker?

    Aspiring grillsman with some questions.

So for my birthday/christmas my wife got me a Weber Performance. I've been having fun grilling with direct heat, but I want to "graduate" to some suitably manly BBQ accomplishments. So help cure me of my rookyness. There is a vent on both the top and bottom of the grill that can each be...

    Who Likes Beer?

Hey folks! I'm a late-comer to this thread, but I LOVE beer. Spent the first half of my life despising it, and I'll spend the rest of my life relishing it. My favorite brewery is Unibrou out of Canada. They have a great variety of exceptional beers across the whole spectrum. If you like a...

    Who Likes Beer?

I know how you feel being both a Labatt and Molson fan. Both absolutely iconic Canadian beer companies. Now just iconic "a little Canadian" companies.

What's the Deal With Carbon Steel?

Thats Walmart for you. Destroying the art in everything in the name of mass distribution. Probably have imitation unicorn horn handles too.

    Whatcha think #1: Grilled Chicken

She and the neighbors like it, but I'm always looking to improve. "Hey you know what would go well with that? _________" That kinda thing. :)

    Initiate the rookie gardener (me!)

Please forgive my ignorance. I'm not exactly sure what you're saying. What does "pinching back" mean? Does bushy = "wide diameter" and leggy = "tall and narrow"? Sorry, I'm a bit more mathy in my approach to things. :S Well, we bought a big old bag of soft black soil to put them in. What...

What's the Deal With Carbon Steel?

What is Thor's hammer, Mjolner, but a dried sponge at the end of an old stick, when compared to the greatness of my pearing knife?

Blocked by wall. Back yard looks like this (pipes indicating walls, slashes indicates shade zone): |\/| (first half of the day, the house wall creates shade. Late afternoon its getting some sun, but its not as intense as that bright morning sun. There's a narrow walkway that gets a pretty...

What's the Deal With Carbon Steel?

I only have a few standards for the steel I use in the kitchen. That the iron be mined from an untouched vein of ore under the precise point of earth's magnetic north. Forged in the heat of flowing magma from the earth's core by the hand of Hatori Hanzo himself.... folded and beaten into...

    Whatcha think #1: Grilled Chicken

Ok... STOOPIT rookie question: How much salt? Like 1/4 teaspoonish? A few good shakes of the shaker? As for brining, I guess thats where my inexperience comes in. I figured brining was to keep the meat juicy and tender where as marinade was to soak in flavor. I'm totally up for a quick...
