    Magnetic knife holder for fridge?

Thanks, everyone. I think what we'll do is forget the whole fridge thing and go with putting the knives on their backs in the knife block instead of the usual way. We just bought some new Shuns and didn't want to mess them up. I was not thrilled about sliding them into the knife block. We don't...

Baking soda/sodium bicarbonate for the pool- can I bake with it?

I'm in the middle of baking cornbread with no way to get to the store. I just realized I'm out of baking soda. We have a big bag of sodium bicarbonate we bought at the pool supply store for the swimming pool. It says arm & hammer on it and that it's certified for use in drinking water. I know...

    Magnetic knife holder for fridge?

We would not be drilling into the frig. I'm hoping to find one with magnets on the back to just stick to the frig. Hopefully really strong magnets that can hold the weight of the knives without slipping. Thanks for your help.

    Magnetic knife holder for fridge?

I sincerely appreciate all of your concern for our safety, really! However, we have no pets, our children are teenagers, and I was just hoping someone would know where to find what I'm looking for. Lots of people, from professional chefs down to home cooks like me, use magnetic knife strips...

    Magnetic knife holder for fridge?

Well, it would not be mounted to the refrigerator door, it would be mounted to the side of the frig which is next to the stove. The knives would not be hanging over the floor, just over the counter. And I was hoping to find one with a strong enough magnet on the back to hold very firmly to the...

    Magnetic knife holder for fridge?

I would like to use a magnetic knife holder instead of a block. However, I need one that is magnetic on both sides so I can place it on the refrigerator. Do these exist? I'm having trouble finding one. Thanks!

What do you use your mortar & pestle for?

Thanks for all the ideas! My family and I have been visiting New Mexico, and while here we picked up some sun-dried chiles. Maybe I could make chile powder from those? I love the idea of making pesto with this.

What utensils can I use on my new All-Clad?

I just bought 3 All-Clad pieces at Marshall's for a steal! (A small omelet pan, a skillet (8 or 10 inch, can't remember) and a huge stock pot. I've never used stainless before, always non-stick. Should I use stainless utensils? Or wooden? I'm tired of melted-edged plastic spatulas and spoons...

    Hello! FL newbie here...

Hello forum! I'm from Florida and am married (16 years) to a wonderful hubby and have 2 awesome boys (14 and 12). We are currently in a hotel suite in New Mexico, however, for my hubby's job. It's a 3 month stretch and we have about 2 weeks left. While here in NM I discovered Marshall's! I...
