I love the price gun at Stop and Shop. As the shopper, you scan each item and bag it while shopping. All you have to do at the end is scan a bar code and your store discount card. Select your method of payment, collect your receipt and beat feet. Done! Brilliant!

Not a bad idea, but we have severe issues with power outtages right now. I'll keep your idea on "the back burner" :wink:until we get the electrical problems corrected.

My kitchen is completely gutted. I have a microwave that causes all of the power to short out, a rice cooker and a crockpot. I need to start making some home cooked meals as we are sick to death of pizza and it's ilk. I plan to make meatballs and sauce in the crock tomorrow. Does anyone know...

Pouring that hot liquid through a strainer into another container is very difficult. Lifting a nice, neat parcel of cast-a-ways; gift wrapped for the trash is more suited for me. ;)

We had pea soup left overs too! Better tonight than it was last night. Home made croutons may have been the reason. YUM.

I add it to the thickening agent (cornstarch and water or broth) at the end of the cooking process. It gives a richer taste and more color than regular soy sauce.

Tip: wrap bones/carcass in cheese cloth before simmering. Easy retrieval of miscellaneous bones and what not. Bouquet garni as well.
