    Harpoon Helps

Here are some pictures posted by the Lakeside Smoker about yesterdays cook. NEBS members fed 150 people and raised a bunch of money for the Boston food shelf to provide thanksgiving dinners for the less fortunate. Chris Hart was the head cook and did a great job. My duties were to get Jed's Lang...

I thought so, but I thought It would be best to remind you. The cheap, Wal-Mart immersion blender (motor boat engine) is one of my favorite comp BBQ tools.

    KCBS Comp rules

You can absolutely use a charcoal grill to prepare a finishing sauce for any meat. Remember that you can't use a "chunky" sauce in a KCBS turn in box. I've heard various rep's talk about the size of the chunks, most seem to use the kernel of corn to a grain of rice size. It's best to talk to...

    Team Name

I think KCBS recognizes team names by the first to score points for TOY. This means the first to score a top five in any given contest. That team name data base is bull. It's self serving. Someone is charging to have your team on a list, it has no merit.

    another oink report

I had a ball at the contest this year. It was nice to meet Diva and her team, Greg, Unity and get re acquainted with the other cooks from the board. I'd also like to thank Brian who is a talented cook and great host. All the food I ate was top quality and I would have scored it all high. The...
