    Can you identify this tool??

    Old, addled brains is what's become of us (well, some of us....) I would guess Danish pastry shaper....OR something in the line of homemade sausages?....could it be used to secure and cut 2 sausages in their casings? (never made sausages though).

    What are you doing?

    I just heated up the beef pot roast, some leftover roast potatoes with it.....fried some onion, green and red peppers, added this to steamed kale. <burp> Excuse me! Supposed to go to town too, for some shopping but the zzzzz's are about to descend upon me. Talk to ya later!

    How to cook tender, juicy beef roast?

    Well I just put it back into the oven, at 325. On my 'convection setting' this reads 300, and cooked it for 2 more hours. It got a bit black, but fork-tender and deeelishous! Thanks everyone, for all your advice. In future, I will do as CraigC suggests!

    Thanks .....I put it back in for another hour at 300 degrees, and we ate some for lunch.....was ok, but will cook more. Roast is 3 pounds.
