i used to cook for an assisted living facility and had several residents who were not BBQ friendly and i always had great results by wrapping them air tight in foil and cooking them in the oven at 225 for 3-4 hours. as far as flavoring the ribs i would just use a personal rub on them before...
i got my Wok at target for about 24$ but like you mention i haven't seen them around like i used to..maybe try an asian market kind of place, but in that thought i am not sure if they will be under 20$
Hot N' Sour soup is a good place for tofu...many different recipes for the soup are online but like all soups you can just play around with the flavors...
i had the same problem but mainly due to the fact that i tried to get back into cereal mornings but i am just a eggs and bacon kinda guy lol
i used up my box by covering them with a somewhat chex mix coating, i kept it simple and just used an oil/sugar coating and baked them for about an hour...
by chance did you do any research on painting them and the effects on vegetables?
i only ask cus it would be nice to put an artistic touch on the outside, maybe even give the outsides of the boards a nice stain but i don't want to compromise my safety for looks.

as far as original soil, i would say it is just basic soil, not rocky or full of clay.
Chances are i will be using 1x8 untreated pine wood unless someone pops in and highly recommends not using that type of wood.
The project is something that will be used for maybe 5...
is there a Max or Min depth for raised veggie beds?
i realize that certain veggies will have deeper root systems but i was wondering if anyone had information to how deep you need to make your bed...

after seeing your nice setup and reading other replies on treated wood and RR ties...my question to you and anyone else who has an input is....what kind of frame work do you use or would you folks recommend?
