I am a senior citizen, but very young in heart and mind. I am not a grandma to any grandchildren. I have two daughters – one single and a teacher and the other married but has dogs as her furry children. I am married almost 55 years . I am originally from New York and that’s how my real cooking/baking began. We moved out to San Jose, California in 1986 and I missed the bagels, bialies, salt sticks, pletzel (flat bread with onions) and a lot of other things. I started cooking more “Jewish cooking”, so I could feel at home here, and that’s how one part of my cooking evolved. The other part took place when my husband got Diabetes 2 and I started experimenting with Splenda (I still had some carbs, but no refined sugar) so he was able to have sugar free cookies. My latest creation was sugar free Rugalach, which I love.
I am a notary public and still work as a signing agent part time (the more part time, the better I like it)

Making costume jewelry, resin pill boxes, earrings, tie dying and embellishing sleeping clothes, etc.
