Well I'm making Death by Ganache Chocolate Cake posted by Audeo today and the recipe calls for cake flour which i can't find at the shop (unless cake flour is called something else in australia such as cornflour? which we use for sponge cakes.) Siliconware

That would be the best way, the only other way i could think of is to remove the rinse aid but that would ruin your glassware. Washing it by hand isn't that hard aslong as you do it right after your finished so it doesn't have the time to harden, if possible use one of those non-stick steel wool...

    My New Toys!

Yes canned (thought that was quite funny no one says canned its all tinned food here in australia), it is cooked but if you buy tuna chunks it can be a great way to practise your rolling just make sure you drain the tuna well. As for presntation sounds good, love to see the little fish you cut out.

Very new to cooking - Spagetti Bolognese?

I prefer it fresh but i guess its just a matter of opinion. Dried is a lot eaiser thats why we use it more but for a special occasion or if I have more spare time i would whip it up fresh.

    Recipe management software

Yeah sounds like a great idea, expecially if you make it really easy to export and import peoples recipes maybe like creating a digital cookbook in which you could customize and add pictures, the readers of the e-books could search and save the recipes they liked. I'll join in helping create a...

Hi, Cooking NewB - How to beat egg whites

Sure you can mix it by hand but it takes much longer (well longer then im willing to spend). Mudbug that measurement sounds about right i normally throw in a pinch, ive occasionally thrown in a bit of salt when theres no cream of tartar left it does the job but not as well.

    Wasabi!!!

Another great wasabi is place a little bit on some fresh prawns and then using a little bit of egg wash wrap the prawns in wonton paper and deep fry and serve with a sweet soy dipping sauce. Its probably best if you just add a little unless you like things hot.

Hi, Cooking NewB - How to beat egg whites

Ok first off you don't want to be using the blender for this task. You will want to use an electric egg beater, this will beat air into the eggs making them expand in size by a fair amount. The eggs are stiff peaked when you take out the beater and the eggs form a peak which doesn't flop over at...
