Definitely BT's photo & RedKitty's comment. Oh, & pdswife's comment too. I LOVE it! I'm just smilin' all over the place! My cheeks hurt!

    Orzo, what's your favorite way...

I have one more for ya . . . grill some zucchini & squash. Cut them up into bite sized pieces. Mix in with cooked orzo, fresh lemon juice (to taste), mint & roasted pine nuts. You could also add some grilled chicken breast to make it a main dish. YUM-O!:chef:

Vegetables in sweet fruit milk shakes?

I put some baby carrots in my smoothie last night. It was really good! Still had a bit of pulp, but that just means I'm getting my fiber.

Vegetables in sweet fruit milk shakes?

How do the carrots fair with a smoothie? Wouldn't they make it a crunchie/smoothie? All the above combos sound dee-lish! I'm game to try the avocado one. I've only eaten avocados in guacamole or sliced up with lemon, s/p & EVOO.

    Cooking Smoked Turkey Legs

I think you're right! I don't remember it being that salty at the fair. THEY were deee-licious! Both my hubby & I will be drinking a lot of water tonight!

    Famous Movie Lines Game

"Alone in the Dark" sounds familiar, but not what I was thinking of. The scene is of a girl strapped to a bed being interrogated by a man looking to get his daughter back from jewel thieves.

    Cooking Smoked Turkey Legs

Thanks for responding so quickly, QSis! I just served them as is. My husband had them at a church fair one time & they were so good. Using them in greens sounds really good too. I'll keep that in mind next time since the legs were so salty. Neither one of us finished our legs. My mouth...

    Cooking Smoked Turkey Legs

Hello Everyone! It's been a while since I've visited DC. I probably need to be back in the newby forum! I just don't have the time to spend in the forums as I'd like. But everyone's always so nice here, I still feel like I can come to you all with questions. So here goes . . . how...

ISO of Leftover Pork Loin Recipe

Any one have any ideas on how to transform leftover pork loin into a tasty dinner? I've tried to have the leftovers in the past & it came out dry. I cooked it a few nights ago in a rotisserie w/dijon, rosemary, garlic & EVOO. Really good the first time around, but I always have so much leftover...

Last thing that made you smile?

I went fresh water fishing with my DH the other day & although I wasn't catching much of anything, just feeling the warmth of the sun on my face & the cool breeze of the promise of fall on my body was amazing! It made me realize how blessed my life is now. Then I was abruptly shaken from my...

    ITALY - Bologna?

That's the disappointing part . . . half the city was closed down for the month of August -- even the restaurant in the hotel where we stayed! And get this, it was called The Cordon Bleu! Since the trip was for my DH's job, we didn't have a choice as to when we went. We went through the...

    ITALY - Bologna?

Hello Everyone! I just got back from Bologna, Italy, Saturday around midnight. I'm still getting used to the time difference. My DH & I are having no problem getting up in the morning -- 6am Va. Beach time is 12 noon Bologna time, but come 3 or 4 pm Va. Beach time, we start feeling the effects...

Thanks for the heads-up AND the warning about the anchovies! I think I could deal with it, but not sure DH could!

    ITALY - Bologna?

I would absolutely LOVE to go to Venice, but I understand it's a 2 hour train trip away. My DH will be in training all day & we only have the evenings together. Not much time to go anywhere, so we'll have to make do with what's in Bologna. I understand there are some wonderful museums &...

    ITALY - Bologna?

Sto bene! Mi chiamo Debbie. Piacere! That's about the extent of my Italian without looking at the book. I'm really getting excited about going, but I've got to get my language down with the basics. I just hope I put the right emPHAsis on the correct syLLAble! I wouldn't want to say...

ISO How do you make baked ziti?

Pretty much what everyone else does, I do as well. I boil the ziti with some EVOO about a minute or 2 less than what the package suggest (prevents ziti from getting mushy when you bake it). Once drained, put back in the pot, add the sauce, about 1cup of ricotta, meat &/or anything else you want...

    ITALY - Bologna?

Thanks to everyone for all the helpful websites! I'm really looking forward to my trip. We'll be leaving August 4, so I've got plenty of time to figure out what to do & where to go. I'll post a message when I get back & let you all know how everything went! Arrivederci!

    ITALY - Bologna?

The website looks really interesting. Thanks for sending it! When was the last time you were there? Are the people pretty fluid in English? I've been going through the Rosetta on-line language program, so I'll at least be familiar with some phrases. I'm really looking forward to...

    Whole Wheat Flour question

I'm no expert, but it's been my experience to mix WW & white. I don't think you'd be sacrificing too much. You'll still get your whole grain benefits. I don't know how the settlers did it, but I think our generations have been spoiled with the nice soft breads & whatnot. Just experiment with...

    ITALY - Bologna?

My husband has to go to Italy for training on an x-ray unit his company sold & I'M GOIN' WITH HIM!! We'll be leaving the first week in August. Poor guy's class starts Monday morning which means he'll be starting class 2am our time!:ermm: Meanwhile, I'm back at the hotel with no clue what...
