    Whole Chicken, Green Streak

    I just bought a whole raw chicken at the grocery store today, but when I took it out of the packaging to cook it, I noticed a bright green streak near one of the legs. It does not wash off, but the chicken smells fine. What could that be, and is the chicken still safe to eat?
