I have been enjoying the open windows too! It's been getting down in the 50's here in KS at night, and mid 80's during the day. A nice little break on the electric bill! :smile:

I REALLY need to get off the computer and go enjoy the Fall-like weather here in KS. Lotsa yard work to catch up that was neglected from the sweltering temps. Good news, peach, pears, and apples are in abundance after several lackluster years, so some canning or dehydrating is maybe on the...

so far, I fried polenta rounds with powdered sugar and syrup for breakfast. Need to go put chicken in the crockpot for either chicken enchiladas or tacos this evening... Wishing everyone a great day!

yay! Cornstarch was my suggestion too! I use some cornstarch and flour when deep frying tofu! never thought about adding some to chicken though!

lol, I may have some cheesecake as a mid-morning snack soon. We ate so much yesterday, I forgot to serve it!

first, I grabbed a truffle. Then, a deviled egg. And to wash that down, a mt. dew..... hey, I cooked all day yesterday, on strike! I am only eating already-made food today! :lol:

awww heck! 10:22 and I just realized I DIDN'T eat dinner! Kiddo wanted subway earlier and I wasn't hungry then.... guess I will go rummage through the fridge. :cool:

awww Patty, we got around 8 inches here last week in Kansas, and not all of it has melted off! I kinda want some more! We were supposed to get more yesterday, but never did. =(

so far, my daughter has friends over, so I am waiting to see what they whip up... for the time being I am snacking on french bread and warm EVOO with italian spices, garlic, and parmesan =)
