I don't really care for root beer myself...it actually gives it a bit of a smokey flavor.... Coke is great too, but the root beer was just a different flavor, which I have been wanting because I am tired of the same old things

Actually my sister told me to use root beer... I have used coke before and it always comes out amazing!!!!

It really was great...lol..not dried out at all and it had nothing to do with the amount of sauce I used anyway...maybe three hrs was a little excessive...and I will definitely try a different cooking time next time I do this...however again...it wasn't dried out lol, since you said you've slow...

Actually it wasn't dried out at all, I usually don't use boneless for that reason, and I know that putting it back in with the sauce would normally dry it out more, and I know that I discarded the juice from the chicken...my point was that while boneless, and with discarding the juices it was...

I forget to mention when I took the chicken out to shred it, I discarded the root beer the chicken was cooked in and put in one bottle of BBQ sauce and a new one can of root beer

Ok....tonight I made chocolate cake using only Dr. pepper soda One box of cake mix, one can of soda....looks great, smells great....the critics will give me the results a little later on....stay tuned!!!

Not too good....the cake batter was like marshmallow fluff....and kind of sunk in the middle a bit...I mean it wasn't too bad...but I think I am going to have to try something else....

Trying this out for the first time....made brownie on the bottom, strawberry cake on top, I used "2 tbsp= 1 egg" when mixing it was very hard to mix, and the batter came out almost looking and feeling the marshmallow or fluff...it's in the oven now, so let's see what happens....wish me luck!!

Thanks everyone for some amazing ideas!!! This weeks menu consisted of meatloaf with noddles, stew, of course with half a loaf of Italian bread (my hubby is straight off the boat Sicilian lol), pickled chicken with rice, and sandwiches...tomorrow being Wednesday will most likely be left over...

Ok well I tried a packaged quinoa, looked mixed of black and white but was preseasoned like garden vegetable or something... I wasn't happy with the consistency of it... I though it would be more cous cous like, but it was a little too grainy...did I chose wrong or is that how it's supposed to...

My hubby works 2 full time jobs... Literally 80 hours a week... He does not like meats reheated, and basically will only have leftover/reheated chicken....I'm running out of ideas, plus he loves pasta, again running out of ideas...I'd be great to be able to pack him lunches and try to save money...

Yes my son loves them raw, my daughter either way.... As a kid I dipped my carrots in ketchup...blech....lol
