Just made a kettle of chili for tonight. Not sure about dessert yet.
Going to grill some steaks... Harris teeter has ny strips on sale.. and thinking some foil packet taters to go with it... Some kind of veggie or maybe a salad also...
Thanks Kylie. It's a newer place here in town and we haven't checked it out yet.
Jacob's Cattle Beans -- are they dry beans or in a can? I love trying all sorts of different beans!
Shrimp Saganaki. Or at least that's the current plan. I have two Christmas concerts to perform today, so whatever I have, it will have to be quick and easy.
It's the dried kind. Here's a picture of them from an online bean seller. I hope it's okay to do this.
Jacob's Cattle - Bush Dry Bean - 1 oz - Heirloom, Open-Pollinated, non-Hybrid Victory Seeds®
I had never seen them before so I was curious. They seem to be interchangeable with your regular baking bean.
Wholefoods has brought things to the islands that we haven't seen before. It's like an expensive treasure hunt every time I go shop there. I also saw a bean named Anasazi I want to try too. A deep red variety.

Yum, my favorite cut for steak!
No dinner tonight. We went out for a big lunch- steak fajitas, rice and black beans.

Sauteed red and green peppers, onions with Hot Italian sausage with enough marinara to coat for me. Shrek will be adding some form of pasta to put his on.

Well... shrimp, tomatoes, feta cheese, fresh dill, and a healthy splash of ouzo. Ok. Two splashes. One for the cook. Can you describe the shrimp saganaki? I love cheese saganaki. Sounds interesting.
I have cheesy scalloped potatoes with ham and peas in the oven. We will have that with seasoned green beans and ice cream sandwiches for dessert.
