That's exactly the way I cook, Sparrow, and it was my mom who taught me.
My husband does a lot of our cooking, but he doesn't follow that rule.
When I can, I follow him around and clean up after him. He is so good to me, I can't complain about him being a little messy.

That's something else my mom taught me. When you have a good man, don't gripe about the small things.
