Sturgeon Moon Dinner - 8/26/2018

It's a full moon tonight. Here's why it has 4 nicknames.

There's a Full Moon Tonight. Here's Why It Has 4 Nicknames | Time

According to the article, the full moon will be visible in every part of the world except those in far northern Arctic latitudes, so Roch and Dragnlaw may be SOL.

Tonight's dinner will be marinated steak tips on the grill, pasta salad, and cole slaw.

With as moony as the last two nights were, Himself was surprised by the crowds that showed up for his telescope nights at Fort Hill Farms. Seems the people weren't concerned with not seeing stars since it was so easy to spot the planets. I'm glad he's having fun sharing his gear and knowledge...and that I get the house to myself for a few hours. :

I bought a package of Naan bread at Aldi yesterday. Same price as Stonefire, but twice as many pieces. We'll use them for individual pizzas tonight and decide if they are good enough. I'll make salads, too. If I start them now, I might have supper ready by 7:00 PM.

I'm planning on grilling kebabs with pork, bell peppers and onions. Rice to go under and tzatziki to go alongside.

CG, I'm glad your Honey is having fun. Do you ever go with him on such a beautiful night?

Tonight I'm doing one of my favorite recipes from Chef John..Turkish Chicken Kebabs.
https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/24...hicken-kebabs/
They cook up so beautifully on the grill. For those who love thighs like we do, this recipe is a real keeper.
Glorified salads with it and we'll be set.

No, I don't, Kayelle. The idea of just standing around for three hours looking bored isn't my game. Baseball, three hours of listening to the play-by-play guy, isn't his game. I'd have to make him listen to baseball if he made me go to these viewings. His reply? "Nope Nope Nope"

You need baseball headphones for stargazing.
