Tuesday's Child is Full of....? Dinner Thread 11/11/2014

We had bacon wrapped petite filet mignon, braised red cabbage, and leftover Asian cucumber salad.

What was on your plate tonight?

We were out car shopping so and DH had to drive to Arlington VA tonight for an 8am appt. When we got home with the "new" car, I quick threw together some pasta and tomato sauce.

Cooling down, windy and misty. The kind of day designed for comfort food, so I made up a pan of country-fried steak with cream gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, iced tea, and peach pie. We're comforted.

Not sure what to call it but I was beat after a long day so I smeared some cold meat sauce on a split baguette, topped it with mozzerella and provolone and baked it until golden brown. Had that with a salad.

I used a friend's rub recipe the day before then finished it under the broiler with Bullseye Original.
