Apple Slaw

Anyone have any good ingredience without using cabbage? I saw a recipe using cranberries. Would you use dried or fresh canberries?

I can't wait to make this recipe.

I have made a jicama and apple "slaw" before - I'm frantically searching for my book I wrote it down in - will post as soon as I find it!

I make one once in a while from shredded Granny Smiyh apples, and a basic cole slaw dressing made with mayo, vinegar, sugar, pepper and about 1/4 tsp good Jamaican allspice. I serve it with bold and spicy smoked meats.
